A Sneak Peak …

Here’s a sneak peak of the cover of my upcoming children’s book, ‘Mo’, which is due to be published on Amazon Kindle Monday 17th December 2012 (all being well!), then in paperback in 2013:

It is ALMOST the final version – there’s been a lot of discussion about it. The children I asked to help choose it chose this one because of the bright primary colours, Mo’s eyes (he goes a bit cross-eyed, looking up at his name), the way the bottle is see-through, and the way the parrot (he’s called Mimic) is holding the letters.

The picture is from a scene in the book where Mimic enlists Mo’s help to raid the fridge, after he sees the Mum of the family putting a bag of apples in there.

I have been working with designer Sam Peel on this and I’m delighted with it. It captures Mo’s essence brilliantly.
